Skin

The skin is the largest organ in the body, and given its large surface area and multiple functions, it is not surprising that the skin is susceptible to a variety of conditions including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, rashes,  and cellulitis.

External factors such as chemical cleaners, skin care products, and the weather can influence the skin; however, it is often what is going on inside the body that can lead to the development of skin disorders.  The immune system, digestion, liver, hormones and even stress can influence the state of our skin.

It’s important to distinguish between different skin conditions in order to control symptoms and treat the underlying cause.
